Glossary

Terms marked Stage 2 are defined by the business-rules plan and become code during that stage.

Term Meaning
Workspace One flower shop, one tenant. Owns every business record through workspace_id. Has a slug used as the subdomain, JSON settings (currency, Google Places key), an active flag and a trial end date.
Member A user attached to a workspace with exactly one role. A user may be a member of several workspaces with different roles.
Host tenant The workspace resolved from the request hostname. It is the only source of tenant identity in a request.
Term Meaning
Category Grouping for either flowers or bouquets, distinguished by a type column.
Flower A sellable stem type with sale price, purchase cost, seasonality, shelf life and a derived stock figure.
Bouquet A sellable composition of flowers with quantities. A custom bouquet is a one-off created inside an order or the storefront builder and is never listed publicly.
Bouquet image One of several images for a bouquet, uploaded or AI-generated; one is primary.
Packaging Wrapping or box option with its own sale price, selectable in the builder and the cart. Packaging is not stock-tracked.
Flower reference Seeded dictionary of flower names used for autocomplete.
Term Meaning
Supplier Vendor the shop buys stems from.
Supply A single delivery from a supplier, with a delivery price and date.
Supply item or batch One flower within a supply: quantity received, quantity remaining, unit cost, batch number, expiry. The unit of inventory.
FEFO First-expiring-first-out: batches are consumed in order of earliest expiry, then receipt time, then identifier.
On hand Physical stems in a batch (quantity_remaining): receipts plus positive corrections and recoveries, minus consumption, write-offs, returns and reversals. Since BRV-05.
Reserved Stems in a batch (quantity_reserved) promised to confirmed orders and not yet consumed. Since BRV-05; filled by BRV-06.
Free On hand minus reserved (SupplyItem::freeQuantity()).
Available to promise Stage 2. Sum of free stems across batches eligible for a given fulfilment cutoff.
Eligible batch Stage 2. A received batch with a known expiry that is not expired now, not quarantined, has free stems, and whose expiry cutoff is after the order’s fulfilment cutoff.
Fulfilment cutoff Stage 2. The moment by which an order’s stems must still be usable: delivery date plus the specific time, else the end of the time slot, else the end of the delivery day, in the workspace timezone.
Inventory movement A signed, dated, append-only record of one change to a batch’s physical or reserved quantity, with kind, cause, actor and a unique action key. The ledger (ADR-011).
Write-off A recorded physical disposal of stems (write_off movement) with a reason, from the supply page or inventory:write-off. Distinct from a batch merely passing its expiry. A supplier return is the same for stems sent back.
Term Meaning
Order A customer order with delivery, card and payment details and an order number (ORD-YYYYMMDD-NNNN) unique within its shop.
Order item A line on an order: a flower, a catalogue bouquet or a custom bouquet, with name and unit price snapshotted at the time.
Order revision An immutable, numbered version of the agreed items, their flower composition, delivery data, totals and currency, with actor and reason. Creation writes revision 1; amendments write the next. Since BRV-04.
Order transition A recorded status change: from, to, actor, reason, order version and action key (order_transitions, since BRV-07).
Allocation The link between an order revision component and a batch for a quantity of stems, with state reserved, consumed or released and the unit cost (order_allocations, filled by BRV-06).
Subtotal Sum of agreed unit prices times quantities.
Delivery fee Revenue charged to the customer for delivery. Not the shop’s delivery expense.
Grand total Subtotal plus delivery fee. Tax and discount fields exist but are held at zero.
Estimated material cost Cost of an order’s composition priced from component costs at revision time, plus known packaging cost once. Unknown when any component lacks a cost. Since BRV-10.
Actual material cost Cost of the stems actually consumed, priced from the batch cost recorded at consumption. Since BRV-10.
Material margin and markup Material profit (merchandise revenue minus material cost) divided by merchandise revenue, and by material cost, respectively. Undefined at zero revenue or zero cost. Neither is full business net profit. Since BRV-10.
Term Meaning
Storefront The shop’s public website on its own address, where customers browse and order. The code and these docs call it the storefront. The Ukrainian interface, emails and landing page call it «Сайт», never «вітрина», which florists read as a shop window (owner decision, 7 October 2026). «Вітрина бутіка» stays only where it means a real shop window: a background for AI photos.
Cart and cart item Server-side basket of a storefront visitor, identified by the hashed flowery_cart cookie, one active cart per visitor and shop. Items reference a bouquet plus optional packaging; custom compositions are custom bouquets. Prices are stored in minor units as added; checkout re-prices them from the catalogue. A submitted cart becomes converted and is never reused.
Order request A storefront order the shop has not confirmed yet: a pending order with source = storefront. It reserves nothing (B01).
Quote The server’s price for a cart with a fulfilment choice, with a fingerprint that expires after ten minutes. Submitting requires the fingerprint of the quote the customer saw.
Status link The private /orders/{token} page of one storefront order. Only the token’s SHA-256 hash is on the order; the link works on its own shop until 60 days after the delivery date.
Catalogue visibility Public lists show bouquets that are active and not custom.
Term Meaning
AI provider, model, feature Platform-level registry: Magnific, formerly Freepik (image and video models; slug freepik) and OpenAI (text and vision). Features: product image, product video, product description, SEO content.
